Best Performing Public School in Johannesburg East

Jeppe High School for Girls was awarded the trophy for Best Performing Public School in the Johannesburg East District at the ceremony held on Friday 11th February. Our class of 2021 maintained the 100% pass rate for the 28th year in succession and 91% of the girls received marks that allow them access to a bachelors degree.

Well done to each Jeppe girl who made it possible for our school to scoop the trophy for Best Performing Public School in another pandemic-ridden year. Six departments scooped the best department in the District awards:

  1. English HL
  2. Afrikaans FAL
  3. Consumer Studies
  4. Visual Arts
  5. Music
  6. Design

Four learners won the best learner award in the following subjects:

  1. Jamie Ho – top English HL and Visual Arts learner
  2. Kayla Aurswald – top Consumer Studies learner
  3. Erin Dodgen – top Music learner
  4. Aimee van der Plank – top Design learner
