Jeppe Girls were invited to attend a Guinness Record celebration at Steyn City on 10 October 2016 with the Minister of Justice, Correctional Services and Constitutional Development: Advocate Michael Masutha and the Deputy Minister of Correctional Services: Mr Thabang Makwetla. The school was recognised for the part they played in smashing the world records for the world’s largest crochet blanket in April 2016 and the world’s largest knitted blanket in July 2016. The Minister handed over the Guinness Certificate to the school, congratulating us for our efforts in supporting our community.
Miss Gonçalves opened the envelope containing our certificate of participation in front of the entire school during Assembly and passed on the Ministers words of congratulation to the girls.
