Jeppe High School for Girls

“Little Shop of Horrors”

Little Shop of Horrors ran from 5th to 14th May, with two matinee performances and 4 evening performances.

After 4 months of rehearsals, the show was extremely well polished and a delight for all who came to see it. Congratulations to the director and every member of the cast, crew, and musical ensemble for an outstanding production. Mrs Tobias, a former Headmistress had this to say: “There is such talent at the school and how wonderful that the girls are given the opportunity to display these talents to an appreciative audience. On a personal note, I always get such a warm feeling whenever I enter the school. That lovely atmosphere of activity, culture, achievement and the ongoing participation in so much is admirable and makes Jeppe what it is – a very special school.”

Joan and Allan Swart had this to say :”Congratulations to you all on an excellent show! We were visitors attending the last performance on Saturday evening and were amazed at the high standard of the production. The first surprise was the orchestra; then the sets (just loved Audrey 2)  lighting and sound proved to be equally good. What an incredibly talented cast!  They all played their roles so well with such good acting abilities and singing – some lovely voices there. We realize that it takes many hours of practice, enthusiasm and dedication to present a musical of that quality.  So, to everyone, it was well worth the effort and you can all be proud of the success of the show.”
