Juliet Newton (nee Swart) matriculated in 1984.

After completing her Bachelor's degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Juliet (or Jules as she is more commonly known) spent 4 years teaching and 3 years in sales and training in the financial services industry. Juliet founded Avocado Vision 11 years ago and during this time has become one of the most sought after experts in the field of interpersonal communication. Jules shares ownership of Avocado Vision with Elaine Sampson. She heads up the Strategic, Marketing and Product sections, while Elaine runs Ops, Finance and NQF alignment. Avocado Vision is a BEE company.
Jules received the Unisa Business School Emerging Leader Award for 2006 and the Top Gender Empowered SMME Award from Top Women in Business & Government in 2010.
Ilse Pienaar of Topco Media had this to say about Jules – “her deserved award is testament to the amazing work that she has done in her personal and private service capacity towards the growth and development of South African polity, its economy, grassroots development and empowerment of all of South African women.  I strongly believe that we could not have asked for a better representative. Jules is an inspiration to all women across our nation.”
Jules is married and has 3 sons. Her eldest son Matriculated from Jeppe High School for Boys in 2009..


                                      
Claudina Nogueira matriculated in 1984 and went on to Wits University, where she completed a BSc (Life Sciences) majoring in genetics and biochemistry in 1989; BSc Hons (Medical Biochemistry) in 1990; and MSc (Medical Biochemistry) in 1994.
In 1990 she was employed at the National Institute for Occupational Health (NIOH), as a research scientist in the Section of Biochemistry Research where she worked until 2003. She was then appointed Manager of the Section of Communication and International Liaison of the NIOH – a position which she held from July 2003 to August 2011. She is passionate about the promotion of occupational health and safety and represented the NIOH at World Health Organization programmes and meetings.  She was the Scientific Programme Coordinator of the Congress of the International Commission on Occupational Health (held in Cape Town, in March 2009). She has travelled extensively in Southern Africa and abroad and has published a number of papers in her field of expertise. She intends pursuing her PhD in the near future.
Since September 2011, Claudina has been employed by the global mining company Anglo American, at the Johannesburg headquarters. She holds the post of Senior Health and Safety Advisor, in the Technical Solutions Division – Consulting: Safety and Sustainable Development. Claudina was elected as a member of the board of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) for the period 2012-2015; is a member of the Executive Committee of the South African Society of Occupational Medicine (SASOM) since 2009; and is the International Liaison of the Southern African Institute for Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH), since 2011.
Claudina is a regular visitor at Jeppe’s Annual Flower Show and other functions at the school and was invited to deliver the Prize Giving address to the school in January 2005 – an experience which she found both thrilling and emotional
