Philip H Moore Music Competition 2011
The standard of the 2011 competition was extremely high and yet again, impressive technique and articulation was the order of the evening. The winners were as follows:
Steven Sacht-Luwes, piano (8 – 10 years old), Rickus Kriel, piano (11- 12 years old), Landi Schaap, piano (13 – 14 years old), David Ng, piano (15 – 16 years old), Simon-Petrus du Toit, piano (17 – 18 years). Richard Rheeder on piano won the grand prize for the 19 – 25 years category with Kisoo Cho also on piano winning second prize. The Duke of Cornwall Singers – St Stithians Boys’ College –took to the stage after the finalists had played, to lighten the mood, and the audience enjoyed their performance immensely.
Congratulations to Victoria Bennett for another wonderful competition and good luck with your efforts to extend the competition to Cape Town.
