An annual event on the Jeppe High School for Girls calendar is the “Concert in the Park”. This is usually held towards the end of the first term and sees parents, learners, educators and friends relaxed on the school lawns eating their picnic suppers and listening to the wide variety of entertainment provided.

The 2010 Concert in the Park was held on 1 May on the lower grounds of the school as part of our "Welcoming the World to South Africa Day". The concert included South Africa's very own Tasha Baxter, who proved very popular with the audience, as well as the dynamic Elena Zlatkova on electrical violin. Unfortunately we only got to hear two numbers from Les Duo Rossignols before the rain set in. The choir moved to the school hall and performed the rest of their items there.

In past years, invited artists have included a West African jazz group, the Celtic Rock band Ceol – G’ Brae, the talented guitarist Cliff Armstrong and the acclaimed singer-songwriter Jennifer Ferguson.
