Under the auspices of St John Ambulance Brigade, learners undergo training that enables them to cope with burns, bites, stings, broken bones and spinal injuries. The Jeppe girls meet together with Jeppe boys who have a well- established club and their own ambulance. Together they officiate at a number of school and public events.

As well as offering a service to the community, First Aid Club members acquire skills that will be useful for life. They have a lot of fun in the process, with an annual camp for Gauteng cadets and inter-school and national competitions.
