Pebble Project
The pebble project is based on a challenge given to the learners by a past learner, Lauren Graham. She challenged pupils to give something back to the broader community that has allowed them to receive such a privileged education.

The premise on which the project is built is that if a tiny pebble can cause ripples in a large body of water, how much more can over 900 girls achieve in the larger community.

The pebble project was started in 2004 when the girls realised their need to give back to their communities and has grown from strength to strength.

Projects are divided amongst the grades as follows:

  • Grade 8: Lambano Baby Sanctuary and Enthembeni Children's Sanctuary
  • Grade 9: Little Angels Daycare Centre and Avalon
  • Grade 10: Cosmos Home for the Aged and Bertrams Junior School
  • Grade 11: Strathyre Girls Home, Uitkoms Home for Girls and Epworth Children’s Village .

The projects are managed by the RCL representatives and a teacher in charge. The Jeppe Girls have built relationships with the people in the organisation, they are helping with projects, materials and funding. Each girl is serving where she is most gifted. Some girls are involved with visits, others with collecting materials or fund-raising for the organisation.

Blanket Drive

The Jeppe learners supply blankets to a number of organizations each winter.
