The 13th Ruth First Memorial Lecture took place on 14th August 2014. Professor Adam Habib, Vice Chancellor Wits University opened the proceedings.
The Tribute to Ruth First was delivered by Jamie Moyce, Grade 8, who spoke superbly and was a fine ambassador for the school.
Ebrahim Fakir was the Ruth First Fellow to address the guests and he was followed by Irvin Jim, General Secretary of the National Union of Metalworkers of SA who delivered a lively and thought-provoking keynote address on the Freedom Charter.
